Come avviene da qualche anno a questa parte, prima della cerimonia dell’Academy, negli Stati Uniti si svolgono gli Oscar del porno, la premiazione organizzata da da Adult Video News (AVN), una delle principali riviste a luci rosse.
Gli AVN Awards 2018 svoltisi a Las Vegas lo scorso 27 gennaio, hanno visto il trionfo di Justice League XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, che ha vinto nelle categorie Best Director, Best Special Effects, Best Makeup, Best Art Direction, Best Marketing Campaign, e Best Parody (categoria nella quale il suo autore ha vinto per otto volte consecutive).
La parodia porno di Justice League è opera di Axel Braun (nome d’arte di Alessandro Re), già autore di altre parodie porno di successo, come Suicide Squad XXX, Avengers vs X-Men XXX, Wonder Woman XXX, Batman v Superman XXX e Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody.
Nella 35°edizione degli Oscar del porno, spicca come sempre anche Rocco Siffredi, che si è aggiudicato due statuette, nelle categorie Miglior drama e Miglior serie straniera.
Durante la sua carriera, Siffredi ha collezionato 40 differenti AVN Awards, di cui ben 8 nella categoria Miglior attore straniero, tanto che il suo nome è nella lista d’onore che celebra le più influenti personalità della cinematografia a luci rosse.
A ravvivare lo show ci ha pensato Lil Wayne: pare che per partecipare agli AVN Awards 2018 il rapper abbia snobbato la cerimonia dei Grammys, prevista per il giorno dopo. Grande assente, il leggendario Ron Jeremy, che è stato bandito dalla cerimonia a causa del suo coinvolgimento in un caso di molestie sessuali.
